Carrot Halwa - Kosovo
750g carrot, grated
7dl milk
1 cinnamon stick 4 tbsp oil
60g sugar
25g pistachio, unsalted, chopped
50g almonds, scalded, peeled, chopped
60g raisins
crushed cardamon
1 Cook carrot for 35-40 minutes with milk and cinnamon stick. Stir all the time.
2 Remove cinnamon stick and fry carrot with oil on pan for couple of minutes.
3 Add sugar, pistachio, almonds, raisins and cardamon. Fry for 3-4 minutes. Stir occasionally.
4 Serve warm or cold with cream.
