Lamb Shashlik With Herbs - Armenia
INGREDIENTS:
1 kg leg of lamb, diced (4-5 cm)
3 tbsp oil
1 tbsp vinegar
juice from 1/2 lemon
3 tbsp yogurt
1 tbsp coriander leaves
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
basil
mint
parsley
bay leaves
salt and pepper
Yogurt sauce:
3 dl yogurt
1 clove garlic, crushed
salt
1/2 cucumber, diced
3 tbsp fresh mint
red pepper powder
1 Mix oil, vinegar, lemon juice and yogurt. Add coriander, garlic basil, mint salt and pepper.
2 Place meat in marinade and leave in the fridge for 2 hours.
3 Put lamb and bay leaves on 4 skewers and grill 4 minutes from all sides.
4 Mix all ingredients for yogurt sauce apart from red pepper powder.
5 Serve shashlik with chilled yogurt sauce sprinkled with red pepper powder.
